HCDP & Hawaiʻi Mesonet Teams Release Inaugural Hawaiʻi Annual Climate ReportFebruary 2026

After eight years in the making, the Hawaiʻi Climate Data Portal (HCDP) and Hawaiʻi Mesonet teams are excited to finally share the Inaugural Hawaiʻi Annual Climate Report. This report summarizes rainfall, temperature, and drought conditions across the state over the past year, using plain language and easy-to-interpret maps and figures.

You can view the report as an online flipbook HERE.

In addition, HCDP and Hawaiʻi Mesonet teams launched an accompanying interactive website that allows users to explore the same information in more detail and at different spatial scales. View the website HERE.

The goal of this report is to help connect people with the climate data behind what many experienced firsthand, while also highlighting open-access tools and datasets that can support planning and decision-making across Hawaiʻi. The report also includes information on how to sign up for a similar monthly climate summary, which will launch late spring 2026.
