Renewable Energy and Island Sustainability (REIS) program

Abstract

This talk discusses activities of the Renewable Energy and Island Sustainability (REIS) group consisting of University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM) faculty from Engineering, Hawaii Natural Energy Institute (HNEI), Natural Science, Social Science, and College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. The REIS group won an internal UHM sustainability competition of $1M earlier this year to build a program in renewable energy and sustainability. We will talk about the goals of our group including building the REIS program, research and education activities, and interfacing with other UHM sustainability efforts, industry and government.
